Public Attitudes towards Resilient Wastewater Reuse Management

Daghighi et al, (2020). Seeking sustainability: evaluation of Public Attitudes towards Resilient Wastewater Reuse Management

The study aims to assess public attitudes towards flexible wastewater reuse management. This research has been carried out focusing on Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Due to the limited resources found in Iran, getting the maximum use of available water is a very necessary issue in this research.

This is why this study has been given priority. And in this study, Iran's strength, weakness, opportunities and threats related to water resources have been identified through SWOT approach.

The study has analyzed the educational and industrial applications and presented the results of the main challenges of wastewater.

A possible solution to overcome the water crisis is to treat and reuse water in different consumption areas. Public participation is essential for water recycling.

Providing environmental protection from sewage pollution and irrigating non-food crops were cited as the main rationales for supporting the use of wastewater.

From this study it was possible to know the importance of sewage management and proper practices in places where water resources are limited. However, my study area is an area where water resources are widely available.
