Decentralized wastewater management in peri-urban areas in low-income countries

The definition of the term wastewater and general concepts about its characteristics are widely covered in this study.

Based on that, the widely mentioned in this study has been mentioned in detail in my study and appropriate techniques for the classification of wastewater have been identified and recommended using GIS technology.

Parkinson and Taylor, (2001). βυπώβητητώ "Decentralized wastewater management in peri-urban areas in low-income countries" study has been carried out on decentralized wastewater management used in cities in low-income countries.

This study found that the traditional centralized approach to wastewater management failed to meet the needs of communities in low-income country cities for collection and disposal of domestic sewage and excreta.

A possible solution to this problem is the implementation of decentralized wastewater management measures. The study also emphasizes the importance of capacity building of local institutions in all aspects of localized wastewater management.

The study also highlights the operational sustainability and associated management requirements of decentralized technologies for wastewater management in metropolitan areas using examples of operational systems.

Therefore, an integrated capacity building effort to remove barriers to the implementation and sustainability of decentralized sewerage systems apart from the centralized approach is necessary and this study proposes a framework to achieve this goal.
